"Sangre y Matanza" ("Blood and Slaughter") is the title of the new MACHINERGY EP, a power trio from Arruda dos Vinhos, Portugal.

Composed of two new songs – "Matanza" ("Slaughter") and the instrumental "Sangre" ("Blood") –, this work from MXN follows the 2014's album "Sounds Evolution".

The sonority presented in 2018, fits in the usual line of the band, a mixture of thrash with death metal within the band's identity and always looking for something fresh and different.

"These songs are a way for MACHINERGY to say "we're here" in the metal scene. The last album is from 2014 and we felt it was time to go back to original releases." says Rui Vieira, lead singer and guitarist for MACHINERGY.

"Matanza" is a hymn to war and human wickedness. Music is like a roller, similar to a tank. "Sangre" is the consequence of this slaughter, of the mastery of the warlords, of the oppression of the peoples."

"We always have some common things in our releases: a different cover color and an object related to music. This time we have a tank cannon firing in the front cover. In the back cover, we have the same image but transformed in a vinyl record. We have also the 4th instrumental! 4 releases so far, 4 instrumentals so far! We like these standards, it helps the band to create his own identity."
